SCOPE

-----

The CP conference, held by the Executive Committee of the Association of Constraint Programming (ACP), is the annual international conference on constraint programming. It is concerned with all aspects of computing with constraints, including theory, algorithms, environments, languages, models, systems, and applications such as decision making, resource allocation, and agreement technologies.

The program includes presentations of technical and application papers, invited talks, workshops, tutorials, a doctoral program, a welcome reception, and a conference banquet among others. All program details are available at:

http://cp2014.a4cp.org

Note that the program will continue until Friday afternoon, around 17:00.

WORKSHOPS

---------

The following workshops will take place on September 8, before the main conference:

- CP meets Verification (CPCAV14)

- Constraint-Based Methods for Bioinformatics (BIOINFO14)

- Constraint Modelling and Reformulation (MODREF14)

- Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice in Constraint Solvers

- Cloud Computing and Optimization (CLOUYD14)

The CP workshops offer an informal venue where participants are given the opportunity to present, discuss and brainstorm on new ideas, technical topics, exciting new application areas and cross-fertilization with other domains. The forums are meant as a petri dish for new ideas and emerging topics in the field of constraint programming.

DOCTORAL PROGRAM

----------------

The doctoral program is an opportunity for current students to meet each other as well as researchers in the field. Participation in the doctoral program will involve: presentation of the student work via both talk and poster, discussions with a mentor.  A free full registration will be provided to some of the best doctoral submissions. A free doctoral program dinner will be organized for all the doctoral program participants.
