Abstract

In this paper, the behaviour of a complex system constituted of two classes of components under pre-emptive resume repair discipline has been investigated. In this discipline, failed component of the vital class pre-empts the component of the other class in repair facility. However, the repair of the component of latter class starts from the point where it was left earlier. The Laplace Transforms of the various state probabilities have been obtained. Asymptotic behaviour of such a system has also been examined. In the end, a particular case has been derived.
