Abstract

This paper discusses some recent issues regarding information systems for regional labour market analysis. After a general introduction to modern information systems design and its geographical aspects, a critical judgement of the state-of-the-art in the field of labour market information systems is provided. Both the statistical data aspects and the modelling aspects are reviewed, and several suggestions for improvement are made.
