CALL FOR PARTICIPATION


We have the great pleasure to invite you to take part in the Operations
Research 2018 conference to be held in Brussels, Belgium, on September
12-14, 2018.

The Operations Research 2018 conference is the annual international
conference of the German Operations Research Society (GOR), co-organized
this year with the Belgian Operational Research Society (ORBEL) with the
support of Université libre de Bruxelles. OR2018 will take place from
September 12 to September 14, 2018 at the MCE Conference & Business
Centre in Brussels, Belgium.

SOCIAL PROGRAM


Get together (Tuesday, Sept. 11th, 19:00-22:00) - MCE Conference Centre

Before the official opening of the conference, an informal Get-Together
will take place on Tuesday, from 19:00 to 22:00, at the MCE conference
center.

Check-in at the conference desk will be open during that evening. We
will welcome you with a walking dinner and drinks, so please join us, to
meet old and new friends and colleagues.


Wednesday Reception (Wednesday, Sept. 12th, 19:00-21:00) - Building K

Please join us on Wednesday night (from 19:00 to 21:00) for a night in
Building K of the Solsbosch Campus of ULB with food and drinks!

Admission to the reception is included for all conference participants.
Yet, there is a limited number of tickets so please select the option
for the Welcome Reception during registration. To enter the location,
please show your tickets contained in your conference bag.


Gala dinner (Thursday, Sept. 13th, 19:30-01:00)

The Conference Dinner on Thursday evening, from 7.30 PM, will take place
at the Belgian Comic Strip Centre in the heart of Brussels. The Belgian
Comic Strip Center is housed in one of the oldest districts of Brussels,
just a few steps away from Grand’Place and the Royal district, in a
splendid Art Nouveau store designed by architect Victor Horta.

The gala dinner ticket includes a free visit of the museum, true temple
dedicated to comic strip art. More information about the museum can be
found on the official website.

After the dinner, open bar and music to entertain you until 1am.

The quoted fees are valid for payment by the usual SEPA bank transfers
in compliance with the terms of payment. In case of credit card, the
amount will be increased by 3% to cover administrative costs. Lack of
payment of the applicable fee after the payment period stated in the
invoice authorizes the conference organizers to cancel the registration.
As of September, 1st only credit card and on-site payment for all items
will be possible. Refunds can be asked before September, 1st. Note that
a commission of € 50 will be deduced from the paid amount to cover
administrative costs.

Every registration type (except Accompanying one) includes: admittance
to all sessions and the exhibition; conference material; coffee, tea and
lunches throughout the conference; tickets for the get-together event
and the welcome reception (up to the capacity of the event, on a
first-come first-served basis); wireless internet access at the
conference; Springer proceedings online volume.

Accompanying registration includes only the tickets for the get-together
event and the welcome reception, and the lunches.
