PostDoc in combining ML an OR: data-driven logistics

Dear Colleagues,

I have an open post-doc position on the combination of machine learning and operations research. The general theme is using ML to learn part of the specification of logistics problems (routing, scheduling, ...).

Expertise in one of the two areas is sufficient.

Start anywhere in the first half of this year, duration 1 to 2 years initially. The candidate joins a subteam of 5 PhD students at the VUB data lab in Brussels. Plenty of opportunity to collaborate but also room for continuing own research line.
