Call for Abstracts | 23rd ESICUP Meeting | Mainz, Germany | 19–21 May 2027

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to submit an abstract for the 23rd ESICUP Meeting, which will take place on 19–21 May 2027 in Mainz, Germany, hosted by Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.

The European Working Group on Cutting and Packing (ESICUP) brings together researchers, practitioners, and educators in Operations Research to exchange ideas, present recent advances, and discuss theoretical and practical challenges in cutting and packing.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

We welcome contributions addressing any aspect of cutting and packing, including problem formulations, theoretical developments, solution methodologies, computational studies, and real-world applications.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- One-dimensional cutting and packing
- Two-dimensional rectangular packing
- Nesting and irregular shape packing
- Three-dimensional packing
- Bin packing and cutting stock problems
- Container loading
- Exact algorithms, heuristics, and metaheuristics
- Problem generators and benchmark instances
- Additional objectives and constraints in cutting and packing
- Industrial applications and emerging challenges
